Frogger is an LCD conversion of the original Frogger video game, published by Halion under license of Konami and released in 1982. It is part of the Cresta Joy series.
Description[]
A simplified game and watch conversion of Frogger. The handheld is powered with either two LR44 or SR44 batteries. The entire game is fit in a small, rectangular, horizontally-oriented LCD screen.[1] Unlike most versions of the game, the highway section is composed of only two lanes where the player has to dodge incoming traffic, and the river section only has two lanes as well, the first one of Turtles and the second one of logs. In this version, there are only three berths at the top of the screen the player has to reach to.
The handheld was released by Halion under their Grandstand Leisure Products label, coming in a big golden foil box. Very few copies were made, believed to be because the Frogger license was revoked shortly after the game's release and then pulled from store shelves.
